Outdoor recreation at your fingertips: When you build in northwest Washington, you’ll have easy access to a wide variety of outdoor activities all year round. You’ll have easy access to both summer time and winter time activities at Snoqualmie Pass and Stevens Pass via Highway 2 and Interstate 90. For some stunning views and great hikes, take a drive up the North Cascades Highway to places like Diablo Lake. This region also runs adjacent to the Puget Sound. If fishing, boating, and beaching are your thing, you’ll have endless options to get out and enjoy the waters of the Pacific Ocean! This region is also home to one of the most popular state parks in Washington. With it’s breathtaking views, Deception Pass State Park is a must visit!
Explore the NW Washington islands: The islands located just to the west of this region are some of the best hidden gems that Washington state has to offer. When you build in North King or Snohomish counties, you’ll have the advantage of being able to access these areas by ferry or by land! For a quick trip over to Whidbey Island, you can take the Mukilteo Ferry across the water. From port to port, you’ll be there in under 20 minutes! If you want a bit of a longer trek that’s well worth it, try a visit to the San Juan Islands. While you can only access these islands by ferry, you won’t be disappointed when you arrive.
Live in or have easy access to urban areas: The region we build in includes the areas surrounding Seattle, Bellevue and the entire “east side” region, as it’s known locally. Whether you own land and want to build in these regions or you build further north or east, you’ll have easy access to all of the city attractions and amenities this area has to offer. Our region is unique in that farm land and large cities are often times separated by 20 miles or less!
Take a trip north of the border: If you want to be able to easily drive to visit our “neighbors to the north”, then living in the NW Washington area is a great option for you! The province of British Columbia is full of amazing places to explore. Hop on a ferry from Seattle to Victoria to see historic sites and have tea at The Empress. Drive across the border and you’ll quickly reach Vancouver, BC. Drive a bit further and explore the mountainous regions of BC including the world famous Whistler Village.
