Rivers and lakes for recreating: One of the most popular summer time activities in this region involves recreation on the local lakes and rivers. Some of the most popular spots include Lake Wenatchee, Lake Chelan, Banks Lake and the Columbia River which runs right through Wenatchee. There are also multiple beloved camp sites right along the Columbia River as it runs from Grand Coulee, through Chelan and down through Wenatchee.
Day trips to popular getaways: The greater Wenatchee area is conveniently situated close to many popular day trip or weekend getaway destinations. The widely known town of Leavenworth is just under a 30 minute drive from downtown Wenatchee. This quaint, Bavarian inspired town has year round activities to enjoy such as hiking, water recreation, nearby skiing, and Christmas tree lighting and festival. It’s also home world class accommodations like The Post Hotel. From Wenatchee, you’re also just two hour drive away from popular destinations on the western half of Washington state.
Wide spread suburban areas: The greater Wenatchee area is spread out over a large area allowing for homes and properties to have a lot of space and privacy but still with a close proximity to downtown amenities, food, night life and other entertainment including the ever popular Pybus Public Market.
